St. Petersburg people were generous choosing New Year presents for their near and dear. Analysts say, they made more expensive presents than people in other Russian regions.
The most frequent New Year presents Russian people made were books and jewelry. According to the research carried out by Youmoney, St. Petersburg people spent on the average more than 9 thousand rubles (120 dollars dollars) on jewelry for their family members and about 450 rubles (6 dollars) on books, TASS reports.
Interestingly, different presents were popular in different regions. In Moscow, people preferred to buy certificates for training courses, electronic devices and household appliances, clothes and footwear.
In Perm, car accessories were popular, and in Chelyabinsk, sports goods, souvenirs and accessories were the most frequent New Year presents.
