An exhibition of paintings by Anna Schegoleva is opening in the Blue Drawing Room gallery of the Union of Artists of St. Petersburg. Pictures of the series titled Set in Week Days are displayed.
The pictures show the life of ordinary people in contemporary Russia. They depict the artist’s family, friends and neighbours, residents of Russian cities, towns and villages in their everyday circumstances, though with a touch of Chekhov, Zoschenko, and sometimes even Dostoevsky, a spokesperson for the Union of Artists of St. Petersburg told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel.
The exhibition will be open during January 12-24, from 12 p.m. till 7 p.m., free of charge.
