Travelers from St. Petersburg chose Altai tours on winter holidays

The Altai region was the most popular destination with St. Petersburg travelers during the winter holidays.

Every fifth traveler in St. Petersburg visited the Altai Mountains on a handcrafted tour. Other popular destinations for the New Year holidays were Dagestan and the Kola Peninsula.

People from St. Petersburg also traveled to the Crimea, Lake Baikal, Karelia, the Elbrus, the Kamchatka Peninsula, North Ossetia and Adygea, a spokesperson for YouTravel.me told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel. 

On the average, St. Petersburg travelers spent some 50 thousand rubles (677 dollars) on vacation in other regions, a third more than they did last year.
