A cottage settlement is to be built on the Gulf of Finland shore next to the Konstantin Palace in the vicinity of St. Petersburg. The Russian Auction House sold the 42 ha plot on November 9.
The site is located near major transport thoroughfares, with two highways nearby and the Ring Road just three kilometers away. The selling price was 255 million rubles (3.35 million dollars), a spokesperson for the Russian Auction House told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel.
‘Taking into account the unique location near the parks in Peterhof and the Gulf of Finland and at the same time close to the city, the investor can build either a premium class cottage settlement or low-rise housing,’ Natalia Kruglova, Advisor to MD, Russian Auction House, commented.
The pandemic has driven demand for country estate in Russia with demand for country housing in St. Petersburg and Moscow surging 70% this year.
