Young residents of St. Petersburg are creating a large painting to express gratitude to doctors and nurses fighting COVID-19, the Saint-Petersburg Committee for healthcare said in its social media account.
The picture is being created in the framework of the Painting Together project initiated by St. Petersburg’s Guinness record holding painter Valeria Loshak and supervised by the We Paint foundation.
60 children aged 5 to 12 are participating in the project. For them, it is art therapy as well as creative activity and useful educational experience as the artist teaches them secrets of oil painting.
The picture measuring 3 by 2 meters depicting the invention of COVID-19 vaccine will be given as a present to Children’s Clinical Hospital No. 5.
