The Russian Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine will be made by five companies. Four of them are based in Moscow and its vicinities, and one is headquartered in St. Petersburg.
R-Pharm, Binnopharm, Generium, the Gamaleya Center and St. Petersburg-based Biocad will produce the vaccine, Federal New Agency reports quoting R-Pharm press office.
The Gamaleya National Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology and R-Pharm are based in Moscow, Binnopharm operates in Zelenograd in Moscow Oblast, and Generium in Vladimir Oblast not far from Moscow.
As reported earlier, vaccination with Sputnik V could start as early as in November.
