Saint Petersburg State University is starting a third season of its online school for foreign school students, a spokesperson for the University told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel.
This year, school students from Latvia, Estonia, Spain, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan will be able to view online lectures on the Russian language, literature, social studies, history and geography of Russia delivered by Saint Petersburg State University professors.
Students will able to choose the subjects they want to study and make a personal schedule. Lectures will be recorded and will remain available for the students to view them for a second time.
Students that pass the final tests successfully will get a certificate that will provide them with additional grades during the enrolment campaign.
According to Dmitry Ptyushkin, Director of the Saint Petersburg State University Language testing center, this year the number of students taking part in the project increased to make 450 people.
