Local Greenpeace activists have held an action on the Gulf of Finland shore in St. Petersburg to draw attention to the water pollution problem in Russia.
The activists used about three cubic meters of plastic waste to make the installation, about as much as is generated in Russia every second. The inscription on the installation reads, 70% of waste is plastic.
During the pandemic, disposable masks and gloves have become a new threat to the Gulf of Finland.
