The St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory is holding the First Open contest and festival of young organists named after Nina Oksentyan on October 20-25.
Almost 40 musicians from different regions of Russia are participating, a spokesperson for the organizers told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel.
The contest is aimed at supporting young organists and discovering new talents. 23 contestants from seven cities are to perform offline.
Apart from the audition, the contest programme includes master classes and a gala concert on October 24.
