The Russian Museum of Ethnography in St. Petersburg is opening an exhibition showcasing things that were added to its collection during the past ten years.
Out of the 5 thousand objects acquired by the Museum during this period, the most unique items will be displayed, a spokesperson for the museum told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel.
These include rare objects of the 19th and early 20th century, of the Soviet period, and works by contemporary designers and craftsmen.
Everyday and festive clothes and jewelry of ethnic groups of Russia and neighbouring countries, interior objects, textiles, home utensils made of wood, clay, and metal are showcased.
The exhibition starts on October 16.
