The VII international public art festival Art Prospect uniting 23 cities in 13 countries will be held on October 15-18 in both online and offline formats.
This year’s festival theme is Searching for Treasure. Over 30 artists are going to participate, a spokesperson for the organizers told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel.
In St. Petersburg, augmented reality projects available for viewing from different cities and countries in a special mobile application will be presented.
The festival programme also includes online discussions, which will be broadcast in Zoom on the CEC ArtsLink web portal.
The festival is aimed at altering the familiar urban landscape filling streets, courtyards, parks, and other public spaces with works of contemporary art.
Art Prospect brings together arts organizations, artists, curators, and urbanists to challenge standard notions of public space, nationality and culture and demonstrate how artistic and social practices can stimulate community engagement and positive change.
