Mass anti-COVID-19 vaccination can start in St. Petersburg at the end of the year, however, no dates can be named yet, Nevskie Novosti reports quoting a spokesperson for the St. Petersburg Committee for healthcare.
Since October 5, the inoculation of doctors and nurses against COVID-19 with Sputnik V developed by the Gamaleya Center started in St. Petersburg. At present, 27 medics of City Hospital No.40 and the Botkin Hospital have received the vaccine.
Sputnik V, the world’s first anti-COVID-19 vaccine was registered in Russia on August 11. The vaccine was clinically tested during June-July.
