This winter, the first virtual concert hall will be opened in St. Petersburg, according to Konstantin Sukhenko, Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee for culture.
The inauguration is planned by the end of this year. At present, a tender for supplying equipment is underway, it is to be delivered by the end of October, TASS reports quoting Sukhenko.
The virtual concert hall will be accommodated in the Catherine’s Assembly building. It will allow of broadcasting recitals by the best Russian and foreign performers making them better accessible for people of different ages and social station.
