On September 11-13, the yachting port Hercules in St. Petersburg is hosting the races of the Upper Division of the National Sailing League. Next week, on September 18-20, Premier Division crews will join the regatta.
19 crews will participate in the third stage of the National Sailing League regatta. The best yachtsmen from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Vladivostok, Taganrog, Grozny, Chelyabinsk, Krasnodar, Tuapse, and Kazan will be racing in the Neva Bay. Three crews will be representing the St. Petersburg Yacht Club at this stage.
‘The National Sailing League has a major role in popularizing yachting and improving Russian yachtsmen’s professional level. We are sure that the St. Petersburg stage will be a top class event and we will see interesting races,’ Vladimir Lyubomirov, Commander of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel.
The first stage off the National Sailing League regatta was held in Sochi, and the second stage took place in Kazan. For the time being, the crews of the yachts “Calipso” and “X-Fit” are leading.
