Zinaida Koreneva, a WW2 veteran from St. Petersburg who collected over 4 million rubles to help the families of doctors and nurses who died of COVID-19, has written a book.
The 98-year-old woman decided to make a book of her war memoirs last year, according to her relative Dmitry Panov. As she cannot write any more, she was recording the texts, which her family deciphered later.
Now the book project is in its final stage, with proof reading remaining to be done, Peterburgsky Dnevnik daily reports. According to Panov, the book can be published in October or November this year. Part of the revenue will be used to help the families of the deceased medics.
