Activists of the St. Petersburg Red Cross division have held a first aid training course for volunteers, a spokesperson for the Open NGO told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel.
16 people from Novgorod, Vologda, Arkhangelsk, Kaliningrad, Pskov, Murmansk, and Petrozavodsk attended the 5-day course. Back in their cities, they will establish teams of volunteers to study first aid methods.
There are three training programmes for volunteers, in first aid, in assisting at public events and in psychological first aid. It is planned to instruct 1.5 thousand people, organize 150 master classes and hold 100 training sessions.
The St. Petersburg Red Cross division also intends to hold a championship in first aid for the volunteers to practice their skills.
