The monument will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
A memorial commemorating the military pilots who gave their lives during the Great Patriotic War is to be put up in Pushkin near St. Petersburg to mark the 75th anniversary of the Victory, a spokesperson for the Western Military District told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel.
The monument will be located on the territory of the Western Military District headquarters. The complex will consist of a chapel and a stele with names of the pilots of the Leningrad Army killed during the Great Patriotic War and later. Other components of the composition will be a MiG-29 aircraft, a S-300 artillery launcher, and radiolocation stations.
