A Vice rector of the University has been appointed deputy chairman of the Council.
Andrey Rudskoy, Rector of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, has been appointed chairman of the coordination council for engineering, technology and technical sciences under the RF Ministry of Science and Higher Education, a spokesperson for the University told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel.
The order appointing Andrey Rudskoy was signed by the Minister of science and higher education. The document also defines the composition of the coordination council. Thus, Alexey Borovkov, Vice Rector of the Polytech University, is appointed deputy chairman of the coordination council, and another Polytech University professor, Pavel Romanov, will act as the executive secretary of the council.
The Coordination Council under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education consists of representatives of the ministry, federal authorities, universities, research centers, employers and other interested organizations and gives recommendations on improving the quality and developing the system of higher education in engineering.
