St. Petersburg’s Zenit football club has organized delivery of hot meals for the doctors and nurses of the Botkin Hospital, a spokesperson for the club told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel. The Botkin Hospital was the first of St. Petersburg clinics to start taking in COVID-19 patients.
Every day, volunteers will deliver 300 hot meals to the hospital, free of charge and with all precaution sanitary measures in place.
‘In cooperation with our management company, we have considered it necessary to support the personnel of the clinic who risk working round-the-clock in the very epicenter of the epidemic,’ Alexander Medvedev, General Director of Zenit, said.
Zenit has also decided to acquire individual protective equipment for the Pokrovskaya and Alexandrovskaya hospitals. The clinics will get 1,600 protective coveralls, 300 protective glasses, 2,380 respirators, and other equipment.
Earlier, the club donated money to buy protective equipment for St. Martyr George City Hospital.
