The Director of the Almazov National Medical Research Center and the Director of St. Petersburg Metro have been elected.
Yevgeny Shlyakhto, Director of the Almazov National Medical Research Center, and Vladimir Garyugin, Director of St. Petersburg Metro, have been elected Honorary citizens of St. Petersburg.
The decision was made on Wednesday by the deputy of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly. Congratulating the newly elected Honorary citizens, Legislative Assembly Chairman Vyacheslav Makarov reminded that Yevgeny Shlyakhto has been Director of the Almazov National Medical Research Center, a unique cardiologic research centers, for more than 20 years, while Vladimir Garyugin has been at the helm of St. Petersburg Metro which carries millions of passengers every day for 30 years.
