Other data processing centers are to be put into operation in Moscow and Tatarstan.
Rosenergoatom, Russia’s state-owned operator of nuclear power plants, is to open a data processing center in St. Petersburg. It will link the datacenters to be put into operation in Moscow and Tatarstan, a spokesperson for the corporation told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel.
The company intends to invest 12 to 14 million rubles (150-175 million dollars) in building the data processing centers. The St. Petersburg-based datacenter is to have 500-1,000 server racks, and the hyper-datacenter in Moscow is planned to have 2,000 racks.
The new data processing centers are to be built within the coming 3-4 years.
