An Arctic research and industrial cluster has been established in St. Petersburg at the initiative of the St. Petersburg Committee for Arctic affairs. 15 of the city’s leading industrial, research and educational institutions signed the agreement on establishing the cluster, a spokesperson for the Government of St. Petersburg told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel.
The cluster is to facilitate implementing joint programmes and projects by combining information, financial, technology and other resources of its members, including bank loans.
Participating in Arctic projects will allow St. Petersburg companies and organizations to create new jobs and implement complex state of the art projects.
