The ship will be deployed on Baltic cruises.
St. Petersburg’s passenger port Sea Façade has presented a project aimed at establishing a shipping company, which envisages building an ice-strengthened cruise liner, Kommersant daily reports.
The estimated project cost is almost 30 billion rubles ($481 million), a major share of the sum is expected to be provided by the federal budget.
The liner will be deployed on cruises to Helsinki, Riga, Tallinn, Stockholm, and Kaliningrad. The 270 meters long and 36 meters beam vessel will have a passenger capacity of 2,500 people. The construction is to be completed by 2026.
