An electronic medical card will be issued for every baby born in St. Petersburg.
Every baby born in St. Petersburg will have an electronic medical card. As the city administration press office told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel, this was a commission given by St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov at the recent session of the city government.
The medical card will be a document containing all healthcare records throughout a person’s life. The Governor promised to visit a St. Petersburg maternity hospital to see how the new practice is implemented.
Alexander Beglov also reminded that in 2019 lean technologies were implemented in 110 outpatient hospitals in St. Petersburg. This measure allowed of cutting the time patients spend waiting for a doctor by two times.
