By 2023, a recreation zone with a cinema, a summer café and a children’s playground are to be built there.
The section of Chernaya Rechka River embankment between Baikonurskaya Street and Shkolnya Street is to be renovated. The idea to create a recreation space there was suggested by people who live in the district.
At present, there are garages, car repair shops, and abandoned buildings along the embankment. Instead of them, a summer cinema, a sports ground, a promenade, a café, an open-air exhibition space, a fountain and a large children’s playground are to be built there.
The renovation is scheduled for 2021-2023. Besides, the river bed is to be dredged and convenient access stairs to the water are to be built.
Nikolay Tsed, head of the Primorsky District Administration, told Saint-Petersburg TV Channel’s Time of the Day about the renovation plans.
