St. Petersburg governor Alexander Beglov took part in tahe charity action.
St. Petersburg governor Alexander Beglov wished a happy new year and a merry Christmas to children with special needs or in difficult situation.
The city governor took part in the annual charity action ‘Wish tree’. In December, he visited the New Year fair where a tree decorated with children’s wishes was installed. Alexander Beglov decided to fulfill three of them and took the envelopes off the tree. Today, the governor gave the presents, smartphones and smart watches, to the children.
«Grown-ups would come up to the Christmas tree, take off these wishes and fulfill them. I got three of your wishes», Alexander Beglov told the children.
The «Wish tree» is a charity action aimed to help young residents of St. Petersburg who are registered with district family support centers.
Social workers found out what children wanted to ask Father Frost about. The wish list was posted on the web page of the action, and compassionate people had an opportunity to make children happy by buying a present and ordering it delivered to the charity foundation.
This year, the action has been held for the fifth time. Over 2 thousand St. Petersburg residents took part in it as sponsors and volunteers.
