The project envisages a co-working space, a media library, a chess parlour, an exhibition hall and laboratories.
St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov has visited the would-be technology park for children, the Quantorium, under development in the Kalininsky District of the city.
The technology park will accommodate a co-working space, a media library, a chess parlour, an exhibition hall and a dozen of laboratories on some 1,000 square meters. The opening is scheduled by September 2020.
Alexander Beglov said: ‘It will be one of the most advanced children’s centers. I am glad the works are underway and are progressing well. I am sure that by the 1st of September the Quantorium will be inaugurated and the kids in the Kalininsky district will get such a wonderful present.’
The Quantorium won a federal subsidy amounting to 36 million rubles ($577.5 thousand) in the framework of the national project Education. Another 37 million rubles ($593.5 thousand) will be provided from the budget of St. Petersburg.
