His predecessor has been promoted to the Russian Railway headquarters.
Viktor Golomolzin has been appointed Chief of the October (Oktyabrskaya) Railway, the St. Petersburg-headquartered branch of Russian Railways, according to the Russian Railways press office.
Vladimir Goloskokov who was head of the October Railway since 2016 has been promoted to the central office of Russian Railways. Oleg Belozyorov, Chairmen of the Russian Railways Board, thanked Vladimir Goloskokov for his work at the head of the October Railway noting that it has been carrying record-breaking cargo volumes including port designated traffic in the recent years.
Prior to this appointment Viktor Golomolzin was head of the Kaliningrad Railway.
