City residents and tourists will also have an opportunity to attend open lectures, master classes, exhibitions and concerts.
During the 8th International Cultural Forum in St. Petersburg that opens next week, 39 of the city’s museums will not charge visitors. Among the museums that will open their doors for art lovers for free are the Hermitage, the Russian Museum and St. Isaac’s Cathedral.
The programme also includes excursions to the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet and the Russian Geographical Society headquarters. Open lectures, master classes, exhibitions and concerts will be organized.
The 8th International Cultural Forum will be held on November 14-16. This year the programme includes over 100 events, which will be free for the registered participants. The forum promoting progressive ideas in modern art will gather tens of thousands of people from all over the world.
