The new office will work to popularize St. Petersburg as a tourist destination.
The 11th Visit Petersburg office outside Russia will open in Spain. According to the St. Petersburg Committee for Press and Mass Media, an agreement to this effect is to be signed.
The new office in Spain will help increase tourist traffic from that country and make St. Petersburg more popular with travelers, which is especially important now that the e-visa regime is in force.
At present, there are Visit Petersburg offices in Taipei, Hong Kong, Paris, Leipzig, Rimini, Mumbai, New Deli, Dubai, Tehran and Tokyo.
