Alexander Beglov and Jean-Baptiste Gastinne discussed cooperation in public spaces development.
St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov and Mayor of Le Havre Jean-Baptiste Gastinne met in St. Petersburg on November 28. One of the topics on the agenda was possible cooperation in the sphere of public spaces development.
Le Havre is actively developing public spaces on the territories of former industrial companies. St. Petersburg has just recently started creating such recreation areas, Alexander Beglov noted. He said St. Petersburg is interested in the experience of its French twin city.
The parties also discussed cooperation in various aspects of city life. As Alexander Beglov emphasized, both St. Petersburg and Le Havre are port cities, and they can develop cooperation in the maritime sphere, too, including the cruise segment.
The Governor also noted the efficient cooperation between St. Petersburg’s water supply operator Vodokanal and French water treatment companies.
