Key to Success: Sergey Davletshin, owner of mini hotels and medical center

Another business Sergey Davletshin has been developing for 15 years is manufacturing conference and excursion equipment.


Sergey Davletshin, today’s guest of the ‘Key to Success’ project, is a graduate of a merchant marine academy and went to sea for ten years before retiring as first mate to start his own business. 

Now he has several mini hotels and a medical center, but his core business for 15 years already has been developing and manufacturing equipment for international conferences and excursions. The know-how utilizing non-licensed frequency and numerous channels has no analogues in Russia. Sergey’s company leases and sells this equipment both in Russia and in Europe.

Sergey Davletshin says, ‘We have offices in the West, in the EU, it is more difficult to work there. First, in Russia, an individual entrepreneur pays six percent, and in Europe, twenty percent. You have to pay through the nose there’.

‘We work, we open offices, we are not always welcome, but we manage to succeed, in Russia, too, the conditions are rather good’.

‘My mother told me, to achieve something, you should get up earlier and go to bed later – and work, and motivate your colleagues, setting precise tasks and clear objectives so they understand where we are heading, what we are doing, and what the result is. When we launch a new model and everybody sees how good it is, it is a success of all our team’.

‘My main task is to unite all of them, they are so different, they are all talented, smart, wonderful, and these talents should act as one whole mechanism’.

‘I am kind, but firm, I believe. It is very important not to offend anyone, but it is also important for every employee to feel that they cannot let the company down’.
