Passengers will be able to use them in a couple of weeks
Today, three new metro stations in St. Petersburg have been put into test operation. Shushary, Dunaiskaya and Prospect Slavy are part of the new Frunze radial line. For passengers the new stations will be opened later.
Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov thanked the contractor, Metrostroy, and the personnel of the St. Petersburg Metro who had been working almost 24 hours a day.
According to Vladimir Garyugin, Head of the St. Petersburg Metro, the test regime will last for a week a two to give the contractor time to complete ‘debugging’.
Alxander Beglov insisted that passenger safety and full compliance are more important than launching the stations immediately.
