St. Petersburg will host three group stage matches and one quarter-final game.
Over 6.3 billion rubles (about $94.9 million) is planned to spend on organizing and hosting Euro 2020 matches in St. Petersburg, according to the draft budget developed by the Ministry of sport of the Russian Federation.
The subjects of the Federation are to provide some 3.72 billion rubles ($56 million), the rest of the sum is to be assigned from the Federal budget.
The Euro 2020 tournament will take place starting June 12 till July 12. Twelve European cities will host matches, St. Petersburg will host three group stage matches and one quarter-final game.
Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov earlier noted that there are special expectations from St. Petersburg as one of the hosting cities of the tournament. One of the requirements is to adapt the stadium and the adjacent temporary infrastructure to comply with the UEFA standards.
