Hotels were 88% booked.
The interest to St. Petersburg on the part of foreign tourists is growing. This summer, even more visitors came to St. Petersburg than last year during the FIFA World Cup.
According to JLL consulters, St. Petersburg’s hotels were booked 88% in summer, up 15% year-on-year. This is a record breaking figure for the past three years.
A similar trend is to be observed in Moscow and Sochi, which benefited from the FIFA World Cup and the promotion campaign advertising Russia and its touristic destinations that was part of it.
On the whole, this summer 15-20% more foreign tourists visited Russia than in summer 2018.
