Leading experts and historians will give talks on the history of Russian and foreign arts.
A new season has started in the Lecture Center of the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg. The leading experts and art historians of the museum as well as invited speakers will give talks on the history of Russian and foreign arts.
Lectures will cover the entire history of the Russian and global culture from the primeval epochs to the contemporary period.
This season, the programme will be expanded with new topics on art objects restoration, collecting arts, art of posters and the Russian museum’s exhibition projects.
Lectures are scheduled on weekends in daytime. There are special educational programmes for school students and smaller children.
The Russian Museum was founded in 1895 to the order of Tsar Nicholas the Second. It was the first museum of Russian arts in the country.
