Vladimir Putin believes the vocational championship will be held at the highest level.
St. Petersburg will hold EuroSkills in 2022 at the highest level, said Russian President Vladimir Putin during his meeting with Simon Bartley, President of WorldSkills International in Kazan.
Vladimir Putin thanked S.Bartley for the trust accorded to Russia in organizing such major event. He also asked S.Bartley what they would expect from Russia when holding EuroSkills in St. Petersburg in 2022. S.Bartley said he is looking forward to the continuation of the partnership.
The two leaders took part in the closing ceremony of the 45th WorldSkills competition of vocational skills. V.Putin emphasized that the common responsibility is to preserve and use the legacy of the championship for the benefit of citizens of all the countries so that each person, regardless of his or her age and health status, could realize their potential, choose their own path of training and development, and acquire highly needed skills throughout their lifetime.
The championship leader was the team of China. The Russian team took the second place. Among the Worldskills participants were young people from St. Petersburg, six of them won prizes in the championship.
